Subject: Observance of October as the National Cyber Security Awareness Month - reg.
The month of October is observed every year as the National Cyber Security Awareness Month (NCSAM) to promote cyber hygiene and cyber security best practices across the country. The theme for 2025 is "Cyber Jagrit Bharat” emphasising collective responsibility in safeguarding our digital ecosystem. The objective is to build a strong defensive barrier to minimize vulnerabilities and protect systems from cyber threats. All schools are requested to organise an effective cyber hygiene and cyber security awareness campaign throughout October 2025 for the students, teachers and all stakeholders. may be optimally leveraged to this end. An indicative list of suggested activities for the awareness month is enclosed as Annexure. These include workshops and webinars, awareness campaigns, quizzes and phishing simulation exercises, leadership round tables, social media campaigns, collaborative initiatives with other departments or agencies, vulnerability patching competitions, recognition and rewarding of best practices, security drills, inventory updates, and audits of IT assets and applications.
